Est-ce vraiment un Johannes Vermeer ?
The attribution to Vermeer is disputed: it is a copy after Felice Ficherelli, possibly signed 'Meer 1655'. Some scholars (including Arthur K. Wheelock Jr. and Gregor Weber) accept it as an early work by Vermeer, while others attribute it to a pupil or unknown copyist.
